VidStats uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a channel you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). • Read access (youtube.readonly, yt-analytics.readonly, yt-analytics-monetary.readonly) is used only to show your channel's statistics and analytics in your dashboard. • Edit access (youtube.force-ssl) is requested only if you choose "Allow updates" in the Videos tab, and is used only to change a video's title, description, tags or thumbnail when you ask us to. VidStats never deletes videos, comments, playlists or captions, and never changes privacy or monetization settings. The previous version is saved before every change. • You can revoke access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. VidStats' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements. We don't sell this data, use it for advertising, or let people read it except as needed to run the service, for security, or as required by law.

The VidStats for YouTube extension works with your VidStats account: • Video and channel IDs on YouTube pages you view are sent to VidStats to look up their public statistics. Your browsing history is not collected. • For channels you've connected, the extension reads realtime totals (views by minute, hour, video, traffic source and content type) from YouTube Studio in your browser and sends them to your VidStats account. Your Google sign-in cookies are used only inside your browser to make those requests and are never sent to VidStats. • Transcripts are read from YouTube only when you ask for a summary or the transcript, and are sent to VidStats only to create the AI summary you requested. • Settings and your tracked-channel list are stored in your browser. The extension doesn't sell or share data, doesn't use it for advertising, and removing it deletes everything it stored in your browser.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and regulatory reasons. When we make material changes: • We will notify you by email or through our service before changes take effect. • We will update the 'last updated' date at the top of this policy. • For significant changes, we may request your renewed consent.
